The design and construction of this choke collar were specially developed by German company Herm Sprenger to protect the fur of a dog from injuries, tangling or discoloration.

Special fur protecting effect is achieved due to the use of fewer but larger links made of special alloy of tin and copper. Due to its hypoallergic qualities the collars, made of this alloy, are recommended for dogs with sensitive skin prone to irritations and allergies.

This model, as well as other choke collars, is used to teach dogs basics of obedience.

The weight of this Curogan Fur Saver Collar differs from 5.4 oz to 7.7 oz (150 g - 220 g) depending on the size. The diameter of the wire is approximately 4 mm (1/6 inch).
